For those who don't know me, I'm Matt, an overworked graphic designer living in Bournemouth, on the south coast of England.

There's not a lot to tell about my life so far that sets me apart from the crowd. I studied in Bournemouth and Northampton, before finding legal employment back in Bournemouth. (The least said about the illegal employment, the better.) I once had green hair. I have a number of passions, most of which I can talk about in mixed company. As well as all aspects of design, I'm involved in amateur theatre, both onstage and off, and I've been heavily involved with set design, publicity design, stage management, set construction and appearing onstage with The Purbeck Players.

I'm a big comic fan, particularly X-men, and used to be involved in online roleplaying games like X-men: End Times until recently. I'm also a huge Transformers fan and I've been a big supporter of the 2007 Transformers movie over the past couple of years, particularly getting involved with DonMurphy.net, the homepage of one of the producers and my home from home.

I've uncle to two wonderful nephews and a delightful neice and I'm lucky enough to have a close family who somehow put up with me.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings - these are a few of my favourite things.

Some rants and reviews of my favourite movies, books and albums are below.

My favourite films as they stand at present. Including Withnail and I, Heathers, This Is Spinal Tap and The Ladykillers. Very much a personal choice, some of them are widely recognised as being genius, some aren't. I don't care personally, if I enjoy them more than Citizen Caine, they're in.
My eclectic tastes mean my top albums change from week to week, and it's hard to pick out ten albums I consistantly love and can listen to over and over. I've tried though.
My favourite ten books... I'm not saying they're the best books ever written, and most of them are pretty easy going, but they're the ones I enjoy most for sheer entertainment value. Jane Austen can go swing.
